Jan Farrar-Royce has been busy this year giving her workshops on bringing fiddling into the mainstream string curriculum at several music teacher conferences and school systems. She was a main presenter at both the ASTA-NJ String Teachers Conference and for NYSSMA this last fall and will be the string headliner for the Kentucky MEA this February. She will be doing a workshop at the National ASTA w/NSOA Conference in Reno where she will also be installed into the National Alternate Styles Committee. Her heterogeneous fiddling texts, 'White Mountain Reel Companions' has now sold almost 1,000 copies since coming on the market last April and is beginning to pick up some major distributors.
